Silvina Choumenkovitch, PhD
Silvina Choumenkovitch, PhD, is a researcher at the John Hancock Research Center on Physical Activity, Nutrition, and Obesity Prevention and an instructor at the Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy. She is also an adjunct scientist in the Nutritional Epidemiology Laboratory at the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University.
Dr. Choumenkovitch holds a bachelor's degree in human nutrition and dietetics from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina, as well as master's and doctoral degrees in nutrition science from the Friedman School of Nutrition at Tufts University. Dr. Choumenkovitch's current research focuses on the effect of diet quality and dietary patterns on overweight and obesity and on risk factors for chronic diseases in socioeconomically diverse children, adolescents, and adults.
